Legendary musician Paul McCartney released a song about climate change which takes shots at politicians and, specifically, President Donald Trump.
During an interview with BBC published Thursday, the former Beatles bandmate said he took swipes at several climate-change deniers, including Trump, in a track, titled “Despite Repeated Warnings,” on his new album, “Egypt Station,” which was released earlier this month.

Its all gonna be fine, dont worry, oh yeah sure theres icebergs melting but it doesnt matter, its not melting in London so dont worry about it, you know
And the phrase was in this article, it started off Despite repeated warnings, theyre not listening. You know, its the idea. I like that phrase Despite repeated warnings. I thought, yeah, that sums up a lot of peoples feelings. And then thought, well, what Ill do is Ill do a kind of song where I used symbolism and so the person will be symbolic of certain politicians and people who argue that climate change is a hoax, and we know a few. So Ill do it about that and Ill get somebody to symbolize one of those people. So I thought, okay its a sea captain and hes steering a boat and hes gonna go towards the icebergs but hes been warned, and hes going because he thinks hes right, and he thinks theyre all making too much of it. The usual arguments you know
So thats what its about. Its a sort of story like the Titanic. If theyd been warned, hey, youre gonna sink from icebergs, and if the captain said it doesnt matter, itll be fine. So its that, using that kind of idea, so theres a sort of mad daft captain, and then theres all the people on the boat who know hes got it wrong.”
