The state of New Hampshire consumed over 80 trillion BTUs of energy more than it exported in 2015. Around of the NH residents use fuel oil to heat their homes with another 14% using propane. New Hampshire consumed more biomass energy than LPG and coal in 2015. Because New Hampshire has the largest nuclear power plant in the New England region, the vast majority of electricity consumed comes from nuclear.
