Pennsylvania is one of our nation’s top energy producing states. With over 5 trillion cubic feet of production, Pennsylvania is the 2nd largest producer of natural gas in the united states. However, natural gas isn’t the only source PA produces in large quantities. Pennsylvania is the 3rd largest coal producer in the US and the only state to produce anthracite. They also were second in the nation in electricity generated from nuclear power plants.
